The challenge
A climate control equipment manufacturer selling in dozens of countries needs a single source of truth for its technical catalog: the same spec sheets, the same specifications and the same documentation in every market, without maintaining forty websites by hand.
The solution
We built the catalog on Drupal 11 with a hierarchy of 54 categories and spec sheets whose specifications table has one column per model (flow rate, static pressure, thermal efficiency, noise level, energy class). Language is resolved by a custom module that routes across 42 country domains and publishes the matching hreflang tags, grouped by region right in the selector. Documentation is served from three separate libraries — Marketing, Technical and BIM — each with its own taxonomy and search. Access is through provisioned accounts, not open sign-up.
The result
A single backoffice powers all 42 versions. Images are served as WebP via image styles, search is instant with autocomplete, and cookie consent is managed with five granular categories and a consent ID, as required by the European market.
